A graduate of Northumbria University, Michelle also has an MA in Creative Writing. She has worked with numerous production companies including, Angel Eye Media, Shudder Films, Arpeggio Films and Media 19.
She founded Duffel Films with Andrew Coats in 2009 to produce short films and features. All of her work reflects her enthusiasm and passion for filmmaking and she continually strives to produce quality film projects that will entertain and inspire audiences.
She has directed short films for the UKFC and Northern Film and Media, Arts Council England and Arpeggio Films.
A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, Andrew received a Fuji Scholarship to make his first short ‘Pistols at Dawn’ and gained an MA in 2000 with his unique adaptation of Sax Rohmer’s ‘The Insidious Dr Fu Manchu’, which screened at Raindance and was nominated for the Jim Poole award in Edinburgh Since then he has directed several shorts funded by Northern Film and Media, and the UKFC, including ‘Meeting in Progress’, and ‘Fodder’.
Alongside his work as a freelancer, Andrew writes a blog Inside the Mind of Mr Andrew Coats, and is currently developing his first feature-length comedy 'Kobassa', after support from Northern Film and Media and Film 4’s talent development initiative Film4ward.
Andrew is also Creative Director for Beacon Hill Arts, which won the ‘Best Arts Award’ at the UK’s National Lottery Awards in 2010.
